Boys & Books!!

It’s official… boys are reading and liking my books too! The new website has been getting lots of great feedback from boy readers as well as girls… yay!
OK, it takes an especially cool boy to read a sparkly-type book. The covers are pretty girly, I admit, but the stories really aren’t… and lads are waking up to that! Besides, if boy readers take a few tips from characters like Kian, Finn, Carter & Paul, that’s good news all round!
So… what do boys really think?

Although I’m a boy, I still enjoy your books. Scarlett is a very good book – sad, happy, romantic and funny. Also, it won the ‘John Lewis Solihull Children’s Book Award’ which was voted for by children. I voted for Scarlett to win – of course!

Kids at school have seen me reading your books, and said “Woooo, look who’s reading a girl’s book!” So I’d like to ask if you could write a book based on a boy to show them that your the best kids author ever !!!

Ok, I’ll admit it. I am a boy. So what? So… I cried. Because of a book. So…WHO CARES?! I LOVE THIS BOOK! The ending was magical, and that was where I cried. This book is brilliant. I loved every bit of it.

I usually read fantasy books but picked up my sister’s Driftwood a while ago and that was it – hooked. The story was so real and I could totally see where Kit was coming from. I’ve read Scarlett and Sundae Girl too, and can’t wait for Lucky Star. Might have to fight my sister for it!
So… are my books just for girls, or should boys read them too? Let me know what YOU think!

Your books are the best ever! when i first read your first one it was like magic and then began to read all of your books !!!!!! I’ve got them all too!!! You should be really reallly really FAMOUS!!!!!!!

your books are amazing(bet u hear that alot)driftwood was the first of your books i read and i told my freind william bout it he luved it and now has to sneak into the library so no boys will see him! tututut! i showed him this website and now thx to u all he is a proud cathy suporter
dizzy is a really good!!! book one i read the first chapter i could not put it down !!! i am going to try some more of cathys books

Although most of your books are from a girls perspective I think it’s fine for boys to read your books. In fact I think that boys that read your books are really cool because they aren’t afraid to admit that they like books aimed at girls. All the boys in my class would be scared they would get laughed at. Also Lucky Star is from a boy’s perspective and I can see that some boys would have a problem with the shiny cover but you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover (literally) Cathy’s books ROCK!

i think boys should be alowed to read your books! because although the stories are about girls, the boys can see what problems girls have. like when us girls read boys books we see what RHEUR probs are.
Ilove ur books they are fantastic.boys and girls can read them.who cares if a boy was reading one boys can read too u know.cant wait to read the new book bet its great
