Answering to the previous question, World Book Days is a Day encouraging people to read books. Every year, several million school children receive a special £1 World Book Day token to receive £1 off a book at any UK book seller. some schools even dress up for the day!

Lils, the main character from my next book Angel Cake does have a pj moment… lol!!! Yes, it’s fine, dress up and take your pic after school, that will still be fine. World Book Day is awesome… I have a One Pound Token off some books and I will probably spend on one of urs (CATHY CASSIDY ’S) Or Jackqueline Wilson’s. I do not dress up for World Book Day usually, but I may get my friends round and dress up! I will probably dress up as Cat or Jude if anyone. And I am REALLY looking forward to your next books. Sounds cool. :)

Unfortunately, we don’t get to dress up at my school any more, but if we did I would be going as Joey. I think Driftwood is a really lovely story – my friend was reading it the other day and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed it xx

I was Scarlett Murray for world book day. I had great fun dressing up.I dyed my hair bright red,put a gold sticker on my tongue to make it look pierced and i wore gothic punk clothes.It was a blast.

World book day was so awesome-but we didn’t dress up as characters. Instead we wore or pyjamas and brought in our favourite teddy and bedtime reading book! It rocked!

Lauren, the comp won’t close until March 31st as some schools stretch out their World Book Day celebrations for the whole month… also, that will allow readers lots of time to get their photos emailed in! So… still time to enter!!!!

Rezwana, there are two books to look forward to! Daizy Star is out in June and is aimed at the 7-10 age group… it’s all about Daizy, who is in Year 6, and her crazy friends… great for my younger readers and also for my older readers as a mini-read! Angel Cake, for my usual age-group, is all about Polish girl Anya who comes to settle in Britain and finds it’s not quite the way she imagined! Pretty soon, she settles in… and falls for the school bad-boy! Oh, and there’s a bit of a cake theme going on, too!

I have just done several public events in london, including the Imagine Festival at the Southbank Centre, so may not be back now until July… keep an eye on the CAMPER page of my website for all my latest tour dates so you don’t miss out next time around.

Andi, no, the books are fiction, not fact, though little bits of real-life do sometimes sneak their way in.

E, there will be more news about the ‘secret’ book coming soon… watch the website for info! I think you’re going to like it…

I did! I dressed up as Scarlett Murray, i dyed my hair pinkish-red and wore a red check mini and leggings. I painted my nails black & red and got everyone to call me Scarlett. It was wa-a-a-ay fun ‘coz when i got in trouble i said that i was being Scarlett and they let me off with it!!!!!! Ha ha haaaaaaa( Evil Genius Laugh) Cathy, can you please write a book that is aimed to be a diary from someone becoz i reckon they are the best books ever. Watch out Louise Rennison, Cathy writes better books but isn’t as well known, because you need a book of Cathy’s made into a FILM to make her wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-y popular. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

For world book day my school did a quiz about the books in the libary and authors, there was one on you cathy;) it was one where you had to choose which book out of 5 that were wrote down that you didn’t write;) it was the easiest question on the quiz!! lol but i won the quiz;) me and 2 of my friends and my ex-friend won:D hehe we got to choose a free book from the book fair and get a free poster:P i wanted one of your books but they only had Ginger Snaps but i already had it:L lol
