Tips on getting into writing

Hi everyone,

I got an email from Tilly asking…

“I love your books. I’ve read scarlett, indigo blue, dizzy and driftwood. I think i’ve read them about 15 times each! I write poems and stories for my younger cousins sometimes – could you give me any tips?”

It’s great that you’re getting into writing! Check out the tips on my writer’s workshop page – in the YOU section… and enter the fab competition! Follow your dreams…

  1. I have just read Scarlett, i just wanted to say that it was the best book that i have read in my whole life. Your are my new role model, im going to go on a massive search to find your other books. The only problem with Scarlett is you can’t put the book down!!! I would like to be an author when I grow up.

  4. I came to see you at the Edinburgh Book Festival you were so nice. It was really nice to meet you. I’ve read my signed copie of Cherry Crush two times and I was wondering, how long did it take you to write it?

  5. I have read all of your books and want to be a writer like you when I’m older. Your stories are fun, cool, interesting and great for children like me to pour over and enjoy! Any advice for a young writer like me who can never stop writing?

  6. hiya Cathy, i loooove your books, i don’t have a favourite because they’re all so good! I’ve wanted to go to one of your festivals and book signings but you are always so far away because i live in Surrey. Anyway, i was wondering how you are able to pour loads of ideas into your books and make them intersting through out aaand finish them as i find it hard.
