SUMMER STORIES…

We’ve decided to extend the closing date of our Back-To-School-Blues giveaway to the end of October… so there’s no excuse not to enter!!! Free signed books AND a goody bag too… what’s not to like? 20 people will win a copy of Dizzy & Sundae Girl, plus a fab little goody bag… sounds like the perfect way to brighten up your week! And if you already have all the books, then remember they’d also make excellent pressies for friends!!!

All you have to do is tell us – in 50 words or less – your best summer story, snippet or memory! For more info on how to enter, check out the Back-To-School-Blues comp page… and if your entry is really cool, we might even use it online! Entries must be postal only, and sadly this time the comp is open only to readers in the UK & Eire… but again, all the details are in the COMP section. (I PROMISE there’ll be a giveaway especially for overseas readers next month!!!)

I’m still on the road at the moment, heading for events in Redbridge, London & Bath, and then the fabby Queen of Teen ceremony… woo! And yes, I’m still writing too…

  4. Dear Cathy,
If you read your THANKYOU! page you’ll see I’ve wrote a comment(Tazzy, Gina, etc.) but this page is for Summer stories so here’s my tale,

I spent all the holidays at my little static caravan in Knaresborough. It was a lovely summer. My mother and I went for about 30 trips to York on(You Guessed it!) shopping sprees. We sunbathed when it was sunny and went to see Wildchild and Mamma Mia! when it was rainy. How was YOUR summer Cathy?
    Lots of luv.

  5. Dear Cathy,
Yay! Hopefully you can open an over-seas contest. That’d be AH-MAZING!!! 😀 It’d be even cooler if it was a Poem contest of a Story Contest. I’ve been taking your advice and have been getting pretty good. I wrote a suspence story for English and got an A+ and my English teacher showed it to the rest of my teachers! 😀 I’m really excited about Angel Cake (FLIPPIN’ EXCITED!!!) and my parents said that maybe in several months we can go to London and meet you when you’re touring! Double Yay! Please remember us (The fans and I) when you write! 🙂
    Praying for your success!!! 😀

  6. G’day Cathy!
I have a BURLY time reading your books. It doesn’t matter how much pocket money I spend on them I just love reading them. My fave book of yours is Lucky Star because I think it really show the real lives of some people out there, even though all your books show that. You are my fave writer and I hope you never stop writing.
    Thx Amber
P.S Plz think ’bout touring Australia

  8. Emma, my summer was kind of drizzly… we haven’t had a holiday yet but are going to Italy in October. In the summer we had lots of lovely friends to stay, so that was cool… And Madison, there is a WRITING COMP running all the time on the WRITERS WORKSHOP page in the YOU section of the webby… and it’s open to readers all around the world. So what are you waiting for?!!!
