All the judges have have their say, and I have spent a few days sifting through the longlist and whittling it down – in the photo you can see my cat Pepper ‘helping’! The shortlist will be announced in Mizz mag’s 8th July issue, so don’t miss out. Shortlisted readers will then be informed by mail, too, and I’ll see them for the fabby award ceremony at this year’s EDINBURGH FESTIVAL. Woo hoo!

arghhhhh!!!! I can’t get Mizz just now because I am on holiday!!!!! but I will defenatly be back for the edinbrugh book festival! I have been coming to see you for 4 years now! the only book I don’t have is cheery crush! I wore a pink dress and beret last year 🙂 do u remember?

hi cathy! im addicted to your stories!!!!! my perfect day would either be curled up with one of your books eating oreos or hanging out with my bff clara,i think you might be comming to my school next year,if you want to spot me look for a girl with glasses who is about to have a nervous breakdown!.i love writing(and doing drawings), my other friends(except clara who has got used to me ) try not to mention the words “books” or “author” in front on me because i start a big conversation on how amazingly cool you and your books are,they end up with sore ears for a week.

I love Mizz, nd ive just read it now!! me and my bff didnt win, but we had so much fun together making it that i don’t mind that much!! Are you doing any events near Leeds soon?? Hope so!! My fave book of urs is probably……. i dont know! i love them all!! xxxxxx
