BOYS ALLOWED!!!

It’s mostly girls who read my books… or is it? Who says that boys don’t want to read real-life, growing up stories about friendship, families and falling in love? Boys have friends, families and feelings too, after all!

Boys DO read my books, but they don’t post on the website as often as girls. (OK, OK, I know… the website IS very pink!!!!) Do YOU know a boy who enjoys my books? A friend, a brother, a classmate, a boyfriend? If so, get him to post a comment through the link below explaining why he likes the books… I’ll post the best online and print the VERY best in a brand new CC minibook, Cupcakes & Kisses, to be given away free with UK mag Mizz in the summer!

Who knows, there could be some boy readers out there who are just as cool as Finn, Kian, Sam, Carter, Paul and Mouse…

Get those comments coming… let’s hear it for the boys!!!

Comments on BOYS ALLOWED!!!

  1. My comment is that not all girls read the books. There is a boy in my class who read Dizzy and Sundae girl and couldn’t put them down! The teacher had to beg him!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I know 2 boys who enjoy Cathy’s books. But they both pretend to be really tough so I wouldn’t be able to get them on this website!

  6. That is so true! It’s sexist to say boys can’t read Cathy’s books because there to girly. My boyfriend saw me reading Gingersnaps a while back and asked to borrow it- now I can hardly get them back again!

  7. I’m a boy and i’m fourteen. I’m also called Finn! So he’s of course my favourite. Your books rule, all the girls seem beautiful and interesting too. You are a really good writer. More please!

  8. I agree. Boys do have feelings also. Even though I live in the U.S., but boys think they are so tough, but my best friend, Brian, (we’ve known each other since nursery school) tells me his feelings and its surprising because I always thought that boys were boys who rarely cried, but I know that is not true!!! I LOVE YOUR BOOKS, CC!!!!!!!

  9. Hey,
My sister has got all the books and she loved them. We were on a holiday and i had finished all my books, so i picked up lucky star and started reading it. It was a great book and i have now read all the cathy cassidy books and i loved all of them. I do think though, that you should make the books with alternative covers, ones that aren’t as girly because i feel a self-concious reading the books at school or in public because it’s obvious that it’s a chick’s book.

  10. I know a guy that reads your books even though hes 13 he likes al of them but his fave is Lucky Star because its about a boy (hes at my house now) you should make some more that follow on to storys about other charicters like the BOYS the only thing is the bright covers i think that puts most boys of your books
