MBFR Finalists at Puffin Towers – whoop!
This summer has been AWESOME… hot, happy and mega-busy! I’ve been lucky enough to meet lots of my lovely readers, too… you can see some of the kids I met at my events at Carfest North and the Edinburgh Book Festival here! The music for this cool slideshow was written and performed by Dream Teamer Zoe S – what a talent! If YOU fancy starring in a CCTV slideshow, send in a photo (high-res if possible) of you reading one of my books here… I’ll be making another reader slideshow soon, so make your pic as cute/ cool as you can and with luck it will be included!
I’ve been busy getting a few comps up to date too… you can see the winners of the LOST WRITING COMP here. Well done to all who entered… if you fancy testing your skills in writing stories or poetry, check out our NEW WRITING COMP too. Who knows, you could be a winner next time!
Speaking of winners, I am pleased to announce ELLA & ORLI are the winners of the My Best Friend Rocks Comp 2013! You can see some of the fantastic shortlisted entries here. Ella and Orli’s family have asked for their entry not to be broadcast, but trust me it was wonderful – they are very worthy winners. I will be asking Ella and Orli to tell you more about how it feels to be the MBFR winners soon! Big congrats to the other shortlisted friends I met at the MBFR finals, too. Neve, Jessie, Isabel, Lauren, Samantha, Olivia and Ella will all be acting as FRIENDSHIP AMBASSADORS for me this year, and you’ll be hearing more from them on the website soon. We have some very exciting plans in store!

I’m now in Year 6 and I have the best teacher in the year. It’s quite strict,but fun! I’ve been studying for a 11+ exam over the holidays but otherwise a great holiday!

Hey guysss I’m now in year 6 it’s kind of scary at top of primary but it’s my birthday soon and I’ve asked for the hole set of Cathy Cassidy books (except the ones I already have) so I’ve had an amazing summer and sounds like every one else has to xxxxxxx
I am a Year 6 now, we have huge responsibilities and I have started sitting entrance exam tests! The week before last on Saturday I had one, and this Saturday I shall have one again! Eek!
How scary is this i am now in year 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Cathy! My holidays have been great! I got introduced to your books by friend Jasmine so I have only read about 3, Driftwood, Marshmallow Skye and Gingersnaps. I am currently reading Angle cake. This holidays I have been playing on laptop, reading your books and watching T.V.
Your books are the best I have ever read! Hope you keep writing more

Hi Cathy you are the best author ever! Even though I have just started reading your books, I absolutely love them, especially Indigo Blue! I am going to get The Chocolate Box Girls for Christmas, I just Can’t wait to read them! School isn’t that good at the moment, me and my bessies have been put in separate classes and we all keep falling out, but hey, year six will be over soon, I will be in year seven; I can’t wait for that!

Im in year 7 now and i had an excellent summer! I LOVE YOUR BOOKS CATHY!! I forgot to bring money to the sidney stringer signing in coventry so imsaving up to buy coco caramel 🙂
