All the judges have have their say, and I have spent a few days sifting through the longlist and whittling it down – in the photo you can see my cat Pepper ‘helping’! The shortlist will be announced in Mizz mag’s 8th July issue, so don’t miss out. Shortlisted readers will then be informed by mail, too, and I’ll see them for the fabby award ceremony at this year’s EDINBURGH FESTIVAL. Woo hoo!

Hi cathy!! I entered and i chose my best friend in the whole world!! Me and her have fallen out with our other best friend because stupidly we let a new girl come between us all. I know the chances if me getting into the shortlist are REALLY small but thanks anyway 🙂 xxxx

Your books are fabulose i read them all the time and i was going to enter the but it’s closed now anyway my bestfriend is called Katie she is sooo kind and caring whenever theres a problem she always fixes it and i missed her birthday because i was in hospital poorly she was heart broken but now we are still bffs she loves your books aswell again i absolutely love your books
