I’m back home after my epic tour now, my cold is all better and I am finishing off the first draft of SUMMER’S DREAM, the third in the CHOCOLATE BOX GIRL series which will be out in JULY 2012.

While I was away, I managed to finish the judging for the last writing comp and the RESULTS are now up online… take a look and let me know what you think of the winning extracts! I think they are AWESOME. You might even get inspired and decide to enter the new writing comp yourself… check out the WRITER’S WORKSHOP page to find out what to do, and check out my top tips for young writers.

  2. @ Emilia, that’s terrible… books make people smart, so I can’t imagine a parent banning them! @ Leila, I toured in Aus in 2009 and hope to do so again, maybe in 2013. @ Natalie, Honey’s book is going to be Sweet Honey, so you’re quite close! You can email me through any of the website links or direct on [email protected]

  8. Hi Cathy! I was wondering if you could help me. We have to write a book review at school and then act out one part of the book with a friend. I have chosen Cherry Crush, but I’m really stuck on what to wear and I’m thinking of acting out the part when she’s moving into the caravan. Any ideas? Thanks. 🙂

  10. Hey Cathy do you think you could come to Clackmannanshire one day? My favourite book ever is Marshmallow Skye but Cherry Crush is my second favourite. M Y favourte character ever from all of my books (and I have over 180 because thats how much I have on my bookshelves and I have books everywhere) is Coco because she is funny and the youngest and she loves ponies and animals. Believe it or not I got the same present as her, riding lessons! Only, I got 16, but still! YAY! I cant wait until Summer’s Dream is out but I read super fast and my mum says that I mght not be getting any more. Boohoo. Summers Dream is about ballet and I knew ballet would be a bigt part in it. But if you come to Clackmannanshire please be quick because I might move soon. You rock Cathy Cassidy!
