I’m back home after my epic tour now, my cold is all better and I am finishing off the first draft of SUMMER’S DREAM, the third in the CHOCOLATE BOX GIRL series which will be out in JULY 2012.

While I was away, I managed to finish the judging for the last writing comp and the RESULTS are now up online… take a look and let me know what you think of the winning extracts! 8. Molly, who not make it different – dress up as Scarlett, bring in mint, strawberries, hazel leaves, a horseshoe… ask the class to write wishes onto ribbons or rags to hang on a tree in the school grounds… be imaginative, as well as giving a report on the book! Good luck! xxx

  10. Hi Cathy!
I commented like this a while ago… i mentioned going to a signing of yours, and my birhtday. I was completely over the moon when you emailed me saying Happy Birthday! I immediately rang my friend and she was so jealous!!! I’m still recovering myself! You may think you’re an ordinary person like everyone else, but you aren’t. You are Cathy Cassidy, the most amazing author ever, loved by millions. I am your BIGGEST fan ever and I always will be! I can remember the first book of yours I got. It was from a great aunt and uncle, and it was Dizzy. I read it and I adore it. I soon got stuck into more of your books, and have read every single one at LEAST three times! I love your books. When I met you at your signing in Bromley a short while ago in September,You mentioned my Name, Hannah being in a book. I know it. Driftwood. I can really relate to Hannah, and when I read it the first time , I thought that even though you didn’t know me, You wrote about ME! That’s how talented you are! I wonder if you remember me! I hope you do!

Your ever biggest fan who appreciates you very much,

    Hannah.x

P.S. I’ve even read Ice Cream and Dreams and I LOVED it!!! I will never forget the day I met you!

    xxx
