HAPPY NATIONAL BEST FRIENDS’ DAY!

Today is National Best Friends’ Day. You might choose to have a pamper party or a picnic, a cake sale or a sleepover. Whatever you do, enjoy spending time with your friends celebrating the power of friendship.
I will be at Waterstone’s in Piccadilly signing books and taking part in lots of friendship celebrations. Come along to join in and for the chance to meet fab new girl band GIRLS CAN’T CATCH and to sign my huge Friendship Charter.
If you can’t make it to London, every single Waterstone’s store is doing something very special – you might just be in for a scrumptious surprise, so pop along and see if you’re a lucky winner!

My best friend and I decided to catch the bus into town yesterday to celebrate NBFD in the park’s bandstand with a few cakes from the bakery and a bottle of Pepsi….but it rained!! So me and her ended up spending 3 hours waiting out the bad weather under the toddler’s play area, with Evanescence and old 70’s music like Squeeze, Tom Robinson and The Boomtown Rats blasting from our mobiles!! It was brilliant to be honest!! Yipee for Cathy Cassidy!! …. and cake =P

I was really excited to get your new book. Our local waterstones held a Best friends party and it was really fun. I got to make a friendship braclet and a free cake which was delicious. I really enjoyed your latest book because it showed us how someone new to the UK might feel. It helped me understand a lot too.
I love my friends dearly – and as soon as I went shopping with my friend earlier, bang, christmas shopping popped into my head! Theres still quite a long wait but I was thinking, ICECREAM BUBBLES, PENS, COOL RUBBERS, BRACELETS, CUPCAKES, then I started thinking about your books. Angel cake…I wonder what the book will be like? I was a bit of a dreamer today!
My Best Friend and I spent the whole day together and we loved every second of it!
My best friend is Colby. She is younger than me but we have always kept in touch, especially as I moved away from her two years ago. We talk on the phone sometimes and send each other presents. In September, it will be five years ago when we first became friends.
My Best friend means the world to me, i didn’t get to celebrate it yesterday but my BFF is awesome weirdly enough though we are like total opposites like shes goth and im very like colourful she underreacts and i overreact and you’d think we balance each other out but we don’t!!
we fight over the stupidests things like the last fight we had was how to clean your ears!!
We Tell each other everything!!
And strangely enough we’ve only been BFF’s for about a half of a year and before thta when she first moved to our school about 2 years ago we absulutly hated each other!

Hi Cathy! Tommorows my last day of school and 3 of my BFFS are moving (to the same school)school!! I am SOOO upset about it! But we’ve promise to keep in-touch, after all, all of us have either MSN and/or email! And the 2 schools are right next to each other!! I was actually planning to have a sleepover with my 4 BFFS on Best Friends Day, but i had NO IDEA when it was, and i came on to find out, only to find that it was today!!! So that was a no go! My best friends are called : Kudzai, Florence, Anisha and Sumeet. Anishas staying at the same school as me! Although they are all my BFFZ everyones got to have favourite, and mine is Kudzai, and everyone knows it, she is my true BFF! We met in the most strange way cos’, to start of we were NOT good friends at all, but then me and my other best friend (who isnt a BFF any more, soz emily!) and she asked to play with me, but that was 2 years ago, and our friendship came from then, so i guess ive gotta thank emily, so TYVM emily!Me and Kudzai have only ever had 2 fights! So now theres only 1 day of school left, and i have no idea HOW im going to mannage without ma bffs!

You are my BFFZ, I couldnt of asked for anyone better, we have some crazy times, bad times, good times! But one things for sure, we’re SISTAS!

Kudz, you are ma true BFF, all the shoe-taking-off in the cinema, and crazy dances, (lol ma absolute fave, BRATITUDE!)and remember the time your car was being washed, and i had ma coke and there was that coffee machine, and i put all that sigar in ma drink! ROFL!
