HAPPY NATIONAL BEST FRIENDS’ DAY!

Today is National Best Friends’ Day. You might choose to have a pamper party or a picnic, a cake sale or a sleepover. Whatever you do, enjoy spending time with your friends celebrating the power of friendship.

I will be at Waterstone’s in Piccadilly signing books and taking part in lots of friendship celebrations. Come along to join in and for the chance to meet fab new girl band GIRLS CAN’T CATCH and to sign my huge Friendship Charter.

If you can’t make it to London, every single Waterstone’s store is doing something very special – you might just be in for a scrumptious surprise, so pop along and see if you’re a lucky winner!

The main thing is to have an amazing time with your friends! Make sure you send your photos of your celebrations so we can put the best ones up online. Just click here and make sure you put NBFD in the ‘What’s your picture of’ box.

Go for it!

  5. Zoe, wow, hope the bookshop party went well… it sounds amazing! Can’t wait to put some pics up online. Lacey & James, what a FAB way to celebrate NBFD too… and raising so much money for a good cause! Well done!!!

Rebecca, sorry you didn’t like the dream flags! I don’t think you’re ever too old to have a dream, and there are lots of ideas for creating cool dream flags on the GROOVY page of my website… lots of Year 8s have been making Dream Flags this week on my school visits! Every single Waterstones store had a whole boxful of sweet treats, mags, books and goodies to give away to random customers, so although you weren’t lucky this time, I know some readers will have been… and I am very grateful to Waterstones for helping to make NBFD such fun, all around the country.

Nareice, sorry that you and your friends weren’t lucky this time either, but I know you’ll have had a cool day!

Thanks all of you for sending in your good wishes and feedback… I hope NBFD was a fab day for all of you!

  9. Hi Cathy, I am a BIG fan. Talking about fans I certainly am a BIG fan of my best friend Lily. I was sooooo sad when I moved school because she cried and I cried but we both had a shoulder to cry on. Each others! We always arrange dates to meet each other and we go shopping and funfairs and have a great time with each other. We have been the best of friends since playgroup and we are now in year six going to move into year seven in September. Even though we are sadly not going to the same secondary school we will always spend time with each other. I love my best friend sooooooooo much. I would of came to Waterstones but I couldn’t. I saw that the other day you went to Bluewater in Kent and I started having a giggle because yesterday I went to Kent and I went to Gravesend. If you were in Bluewater yesterday I could have seen you. Oh well. I love your stories Cathy. Please carry on writing more awsome books.xxxx
