i would say a huge thankyou to the things i see evryday, the colours if the earth and the animal and plants. The friends that put up with me and are not afraid to tell me if they think im doing something wrong. To my special bffl Georgie for being there and sharing the adventures we have together and makin me realise that i am never alone. To some of the coolest teachers in my skwl Miss Rashford, Miss B, Miss shaw and Mr webb. To my family who i wil always b there for and they have always bin there for me. Hello Cathy sweety !! For the first time today I bought a book that you wrote. Its name is GingerSnaps. The first thing I notice in the book is the outside of it, the colours, pictures, graphics. Thanx to you Cathy because i wouldnt of found mi fav book! We were Asked our favourite in school and I didn’t know. I was half way through the book driftwood.We had 1 week to write a report on our favourite book. That night wen i got home I carried on reading Driftwood. AND I FINISHED IT ! So the next day we had been reminded about our report. All of my friends had started theirs so i thought I will do driftwood. Then the bombshell dropped if we wrote a good enough report we would get a packet of sweets. So as soon as I got home I started writing it. And i finished it in 1 nite. After the week was up and we had handed in all our reports and miss had read them all she told us who it was GUESS WHO WON ?.........................

I live in America so only 3 of your books are available to me.I started with Indigo Blue my favorite of them all. I followed with dizzy and scarlett. then for christmas my mom ordered me Driftwood,sundae girl and lucky star. I love those and now want to order Gingersnaps which looks like a very promising book. I think today I will order it I have $22 I hope that will cover everything. Can’t wait for it to come! I love your writing and can relate to all your charachters as if they are my best friends. Before I say my thank-yous I just want to say that you are my fave author and I love all your books – kind of a corny thing to say but it’s true :)

My thank-yous would be to my mum for being brilliant and supportive and everything. My dad for his hilarious cuteness. My Granda for the endless supply of pocket money and woolly hats. My Nana for calling me “sunshine” and for that yummy cherry/chocolate/coconut cakey thing that she makes. To cats and dogs for existing and being our friends. To all the horses that ever let me sit on them, dig them with my heels, wrench a bit about in their mouth without complaints (or in some cases, quite a bit of complaining), to Amber for inviting me to Scotland with her twice, and to Georgia for being my best ever friend even though we don’t go to the same secondary school now, and for all the thousands of laughs we’ve had together. Oh, and thank-you to authors and the people who invented computers because otherwise I would have nothing to do!

I can really actually realate to Ginger :D You’ve inspired me to be myself and just stand up for myself so much more often, and of course I obviously enjoy READING the books :P Even though the characters are mostly younger than me, I find it so easy to just sit down and read for a bit instead of sitting on my bum at the computer all day! Hi Cathy! I totally agree! I want to say thank you as well. You may think that your books don’t appeal to me, because I’m 9, but they do! I understand every bit of them, and I think Indigo Blue is the best book EVER ! I think it’s about time someone said thank you. I’ll say it too. I’ll say thank you for all I need to say thanks for. Thank you, Cathy, for being so kind and posting your blog every few weeks or so. It shows that you’re patient, kind, and you really care. I love your books! I love lots of teen writers but I’ve voted for you on the Queen of Teen. Azaria, when you’re like me it does not sound weird. Books are 30% of my life and a good author like Cathy Cassidy can make that book a vertual reality. I know how you feel and I sooo get what you’re saying! I especially had a connection with Ginger in Gingersnaps(I am fat, I’m teased and most people use me) and thanks to Cathy I changed that, I lost a little weight, made new friends and ditched the users and people now respect my high grades as I’m, not a C crowder any more. best wishes xxx

Hey Cathy, I’m 12 and I think that you’re books are absolutely AMAZING ! Are there any movies? I hope there are! I’ve read Scarlett, Driftwood and I’ve nearly finished Sundae Girl! In school, we read the Machine Gunners and had to make an air raid story and in mine-the neighbour’s dog was called Toto! Every year, for the year 7’s, there is a free book thing, where yyou can choose a book which they give you for free and they have a serlection-and, unfortunately, last year, when I was in year 7, they didn’t have this book, but this year, they had Scarlett!
