  3. This book is truly inspirational. The relationship between Scarlett and her long lost fathers family makes you want to reach out and hug her. Her personality is a hard outer interior, while all the time you know her bad temper and outrageous attitude to life and certain people is only there to protect her true feelings. In my opinion all she wants is to have a father who loves her without having to act a certain way. Her hair, fashion and way of life is like saying she’s had enough. This book shows a life journey, one that young girls all over the world can relate to,while they can engross themselves in the wild characters, the beautiful irish countryside, the wild side of real life and most of all the mysterious yet exhilirating storylines and mistakes or right choices that mould Scarletts future. This book provides a journey, a story of lost souls intertwined with the connection of nature and the sheer momentum that Cathy Cassidy always provides in her amazing real life books. After reading this i found myself hoping for a chance to sit and write or draw by a flowing, shining river, with a red picnic blanket and homemade lemonade. This fantastic read deserves a 10 out of 10 because of the happiness, fear, excitement, sorrow and most of all long lost love that lies between the characters, the setting and the background. A brilliant read!
