Scarlett

Can wild child Scarlett ever settle down?

‘I’ll be different, I won’t break the rules . . . I promise’

Scarlett has got herself in trouble so often; her Mum’s no longer believes her promises. Sent off to stay with Dad, the message is behave or else!

Can Scarlett mend her ways or will she die of boredom? Perhaps gorgeous and mysterious local boy Kian can supply some of the answers . . .

Reviews of Scarlett

  1. I had always heard my friends talking about Cathy Cassidy but I was never a member of a library to go and try one out. So very recently I got a library card and found Cathy Cassidys book ‘Scarlett’ I am still in the process of reading it but I am really , really enjoying it. I can see why my friends talk about Cathy so much she has amazing ideas and the vocabularly e.g openers and connectives have really helped me in pieces of my school work. Scarlett is in the young years of teenage life and her name just spells TROUBLE! My favourite charcters so far are Holly and Scarlett also I really want to find out if Clare has her baby in this book . I love this book it is UNPUTDOWNABLE and leaves me on a cliffhanger when I force myself to put it down leaves my mind cautiously just wondering what will happen when I next pick up that book I think I might have to ask if I can get that book! 10 out of 10 5 stars and I’m still only in the process of it!Thanks Cathy you’ve really got me into your books!

  2. Scarlett is in trouble – again!
She’s just 12, but since her mum and dad split up, she’s become wild. Well, more than wild, she’s been kicked out of five schools in two years.

With her tomato ketchup-coloured dyed hair, her pierced tongue and her sulky attitude, her mum is at the end of her tether, so sends Scarlett off to her dad’s.
The thing is that Scarlett’s dad doesn’t just live down the road. He’s moved to rural Ireland with his new partner and her daughter.

Scarlett’s determined not to like it in Connemara and kicks up a storm. Scarlett wants to leave–until she meets Kian. He seems too good to be true with his dark, rugged looks, kind nature, and horse named Midnight. As Kian helps Scarlett let go of her anger, she begins to accept her family, her friendships, and most of all, her dreams.
