‘I need a seriously brilliant daydream . . . because everything is far from OK . . .’
When Indigo’s mum announces that they’re moving – just Indie, Mum and baby Misti – Indie doesn’t understand. Why the hurry? Where are they going? Will her best friend, Jo, still be there for her?
In a dingy old flat with a grumpy neighbour, no heating and only biscuits to eat, Indie begins to realize that her mum’s got a reason for running away – a secret no one can admit . . .
I’ve read loads of cathy’s books but indigo blue is by far the best! it shows that not all people’s live’s are has easy has they seem. As Indie’s friendship with Jo is falling apart at school, she has to cope with moving to a damp, mouldy basement with her baby sister Misty and her mum outside of school. It feels like Indie’s whole life is turning into a nightmare, with no food, no money and a land lady who looks like she’s 123 is there any hope for Indie and her family?
It’s a really good put book that litereally lets you look beyond the pages and share the feelings & senses. I never thought a book could get to me this much but it did! Go on! Read it now!
I loved this book so much and it really showed you how emotional it is for the kids out there that have to live like Indie. This book showed you a lot of feelings from different characters but the only thing I wished that had happened in the book was if Shane Taggart had gone out with Indie. It would have been sweet.
i have to say this was the best book ever!!!! at the end its good indie makes friends again with her best friend jo. now they stay in the one place.its good she makes another great friend Aisha who is loyal and kind. please read it everyone.100/100. the next time your in a bookstorec pick up INDIGO BLUE. PLEASE!
hi cathy this book is one of my fav books eva. i have already read it 3 times in 2 days!! my opinion is you should do a carry on and see how life turns out for indigo. does she fall for shane? and does friendship last with jo and aisha? does her mum find love again? and so much more. it could possibly be a series that would be so cool. please consider my idea as i want to be an author just like you.
