‘You can make a wish come true, if you’re determined . . .’
Gone are the days when Ginger was an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. She’s swapped puppy fat and pigtails for make-up and hair straighteners and never looked back – until now. Ginger and Shannon are best mates, but when they befriend lonely Emily, everything changes. Even the saxophone-playing boy in the trilby hat can’t help – he’s part of the problem. Are Ginger and Shannon drifting apart or can they stay best friends forever?

Your biggest fan
I have just finished reading Gingersnaps, and it is my favourite book in the whole wide world!
I fell in love with Sam, as we don’t have any generally nice, quirky boys in our school, they are always showing off, and they are all so fake!
I just wanted to say that I have always loved your books..I’ve read Dizzy Indigo Blue , Driftwood and Ginger snaps.
Ginger snaps was by far the best for me. Every book you write just is so much like reality. But gingersnaps is the most realistic to me.
And I really appreciate it. Not just the fact that it is amazingly writen and I cant put it down. But because deep down I can relate to it. Because I was bullied when I was younger and I can just relate to Ginger so much. I’ve always been a bit scared about my past..but this book jsut helps me to embrace it. Its what makes me ME now.
I LOVE GINGERSNAPS!! It’s the best book you’ve ever written, or better yet the best book EVER written!! I’ve read it twice already! I don’t know why Shannon doesn’t like trilby hats I LOVE them!! I’ve got a black one, a red one and I’m thinking about buying a pink one!! Ginger is so lucky to have ginger hair, I have brown hair but long for giner!! My favourite character is either Sam or Emily. I like Sam because he is so unique and doesn’t care about what people think but I like Emily because she is kind, caring and optimistic, she sounds so safe but is also quite daring because she dies her hair purple!! (I’d l0ove to do that!) Once again – GINGERSNAPS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!
I managed to get a copy from the city center and it was the last one! I have finished reading Gingersnaps and I Know its one of the top books I have ever read! I really like it when Sam Taylor comes and Ginger and Sam have love at first sight!
My other favourite part is when Sam and his Dad go to fill the petrol and water tank but Ginger doesnt know that and she leaves a message for Sam saying ‘SAM TAYLOR WILL YOU GO OUT WITH ME?’ And when Sam finally gets back with a broken foot and the message says ‘SAM U GO’!
Wow! I absolutely ADORE Ginger Snaps. It’s one of my top three favourite books ever. And trust me, I’ve read a lot of books, but Ginger Snaps is by far the best!!
Gingersnaps is a wonderful book wich touches peoples hearts. Cathy is my favourite author. She makes my daydreams come alive. go cathy!!!! 🙂
I have got gingersnaps and it is a BRILLIANT book, and I coudnt stop reading it! It took me 2 days to read it. I think this is the best book so far.The characters in the book are really life like.
