GingerSnaps

Is Ginger’s best friend really her biggest rival?

‘You can make a wish come true, if you’re determined . . .’

Gone are the days when Ginger was an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. She’s swapped puppy fat and pigtails for make-up and hair straighteners and never looked back – until now. Ginger and Shannon are best mates, but when they befriend lonely Emily, everything changes. Even the saxophone-playing boy in the trilby hat can’t help – he’s part of the problem. Are Ginger and Shannon drifting apart or can they stay best friends forever?

  2. Hi! This book is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I firstly read it when I was nine and I didn’t understand all of the parts of the story line as I was a bit young but the books helped me as I thought I saw something in Ginger that was in me. I am now 12 and looking back it definitely helped through some rough patches in my life.
Cathy you recently came into my school on Friday and I loved your talk and thanks for the book signing in my fave book GINGERSNAPS!

  3. I can totally relate to this book, I hope we were meant to hate Shannon, because I did. Shannon is vain, mean and acts much older than she is. Ginger is quiet and creative. Emily is a geek, but overall, she’s a great friend to Ginger. She tends to cause a lot of trouble without meaning to. The ending is quite surprising, I like the way that Shannon apologises to Ginger, that was nice.

  5. There are only three Cathy Cassidy books available in my country, so I am so grateful that I was able to read this book. Out of the books I’ve gotten so far from England, this is one of my favorites along with the Chocolate Box Girls. Can’t wait for the rest!
