GingerSnaps

Is Ginger’s best friend really her biggest rival?

‘You can make a wish come true, if you’re determined . . .’

Gone are the days when Ginger was an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. She’s swapped puppy fat and pigtails for make-up and hair straighteners and never looked back – until now. Ginger and Shannon are best mates, but when they befriend lonely Emily, everything changes. Even the saxophone-playing boy in the trilby hat can’t help – he’s part of the problem. Are Ginger and Shannon drifting apart or can they stay best friends forever?

  3. i am called Emily too! i really enjoyed this book, it has a lot of meaning… i think books with mean bullies are very good, as you can actually feel what the character who is being bullied feels like. i always enjoy books where the good characters stand up to the bullies in the end. i read this book ages ago, and want to read it again! most people have probably been in Emilys shoes before (being lonely) so they can relate to what Emily feels like. i reccommend this book to people who enjoy a good ending, and people who like excitement… thankyou for another great book Cathy Cassidy… i have read all of these books except for Angel Cake! i have just gone up to Secondary school, visited the library and wow! all of your books from this series were there! i borrowed Driftwood and thought it was amazing, and next when my best friend Freya (who also loves your books) has finished reading Angel Cake, i am going to get straight into the library and borrow that book- looking forward to it! sorry about such a long comment but i just wanted to make a point about how amazing your books are- thankyou, Emily:) x

  7. I have read this book what 10 times? And I still really enjoy it! It really drags me in! I feel sorry for Ginger in a way, being dragged under Shannon’s wing, and I am quite annoyed that they were still kinda friends in the end. If it was me.. well I would ignore them and loathe them the rest of my life!! πŸ˜€ Still, that’s me.. and it’s just such an amazing book x
