GingerSnaps

Is Ginger’s best friend really her biggest rival?

‘You can make a wish come true, if you’re determined . . .’

Gone are the days when Ginger was an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. She’s swapped puppy fat and pigtails for make-up and hair straighteners and never looked back – until now. Ginger and Shannon are best mates, but when they befriend lonely Emily, everything changes. Even the saxophone-playing boy in the trilby hat can’t help – he’s part of the problem. Are Ginger and Shannon drifting apart or can they stay best friends forever?

Reviews of GingerSnaps

  1. Ah, my favourite book of Cathy’s so far. Fantastically written, you never fail to impress your readers!
Fell in love with Sam Taylor right the moment I went him. And poor Ginger- tagging along with Shannon during the whole story. Bits of her story remind me of myself, sometimes. I’m glad of Ginger’s decision at the end, beautifully worded! For a moment, I really thought Ginger would return under Shannon’s control- Shannon can be very convincing.
I love that fox. Foxes are such beautiful creatures, and it played such a good role in the story.
Emily was such a great person, and I’m glad her and Ginger stuck together. Ginger really needed somebody like Emily, to help her realise things in a different perspective.
My favourite line of the book: “He didn’t exactly fall at her feet, but he was sitting at them.” Can’t get over the trilby hats and Tippex pens!
My friend and I love this book to bits, and we’re always quoting to each other, “Random acts of kindness!”.
Keep it up, loving all of your stories!
