‘You can make a wish come true, if you’re determined . . .’
Gone are the days when Ginger was an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. She’s swapped puppy fat and pigtails for make-up and hair straighteners and never looked back – until now. Ginger and Shannon are best mates, but when they befriend lonely Emily, everything changes. Even the saxophone-playing boy in the trilby hat can’t help – he’s part of the problem. Are Ginger and Shannon drifting apart or can they stay best friends forever?
OMG!this book is one of the best i have ever read! My uncle bought me all your books for my birthday and then i bought gingersnaps and read it in 4 days! i couldnt put it down! I so want a sam in my life!
Gingersnaps is my favorite book I have EVER read! It is so addictive, I read it in two nights! The characters all have feelings I can relate to and I love books that keep you wondering…
OMG Cathy!!!!
THIS IS Super CUTE, FUNKY&COOL. PLEAZZE nvr stop writing!!
LOVE YA!!!
OMG! This is SUPER KEWL and super hot. I love this book! It’s full of glam and excitement. I always read it. π
I really can’t say this is my favorite book, because all of your books are amazing, but I really identified with Ginger, even though we’re completely different in reality! I loved the element of the saxophone, because I play one too, and I really love it when they are portrayed as cool and jazzy, because some people think saxophones are boring. They’re really not, though! Emily is such a sweet character and I felt so bad for her at the beginning of the book. I don’t know what I would do without a best friend! Even though I know what people like are Shannon are like, I know that I secretly want to be her, or be friends with her, just to see what it’s like being nearly the most popular girl in school. Sam is the coolest character in this book, though. The only thing I don’t like is that in my experience, boys like Sam just don’t exist, and if one did, he wouldn’t notice me. But I love your book, its the kind you can’ put down, as always!!!(: xXx
I loved this book I first read it in the school holidays when I read 14 books mainly by Cathy Cassidy this book shows and tells kids from11 and up to juast be yourself.
W.O.W I completely and UTTERLY love Ginger Snaps- as I have loved all your other books. They all make you smile in their own sort of way… but the prize that goes to the book that put the biggest smile on my face is…Ginger Snaps by Cathy Cassidy!!!
I think that Sam’s religion that includes hats and the sacred number three is soooooo cool!! (I really must try that excuse in maths one day…)
anyway, Cathy please, please keep on coming up with these AMAZING ideas, for your books put a smile on my face, yet make me burst into tears at the same time… they are so well written (I wish I could write like you) and I am so glad Ginger turned out OK in the end!! My advice for anyone who hasn’t read Gingersnaps yet…. get it out of your local library and start reading….NOW!!
Its such a awesomee book …. i LOVE it
