‘You can make a wish come true, if you’re determined . . .’
Gone are the days when Ginger was an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. She’s swapped puppy fat and pigtails for make-up and hair straighteners and never looked back – until now. Ginger and Shannon are best mates, but when they befriend lonely Emily, everything changes. Even the saxophone-playing boy in the trilby hat can’t help – he’s part of the problem. Are Ginger and Shannon drifting apart or can they stay best friends forever?
I thought that the book was very very good and I loved Sam Taylor’s character!
gingersnaps is a fab book. ginger thinks shannon is her best friend, but if she was her best friend she would let her be herself, she would let her be with sam and she definitely not frame her. cathy cassidy is a brillant authour. i cant wait to read more.

Gingersnaps shows how you think you have found a friend but mabye she/he is just someone to be with until you find real friends to help and support you through good and bad.
It is a heart-warming story full of compasion but as new friends come old one’s get moved out the way and how as Emily joins them she helps Ginger realise that she wasn’t a geek or a loser she was merley a girl being picked on and bullied. Which brings on flashbacks. Ginger struggles with having a secret boyfriend, her past which she has kept tied up starts unravalling and new friends getting close with Shannon.
I love Gingersnaps and I hope whoever reads it will too!
