Driftwood

Can Hannah stop her friends from drifting apart?

‘I feel like I’m losing my best mate . . .’

Hannah and Joey have been best friends forever – just the two of them. But when Joey’s new foster brother, Paul, turns up, everything changes. First Joey falls for Hannah’s brother, Kit. Then Paul complicates things – with some kittens, a chocolate bar and a stripy pink bicycle.

Hannah’s world is turning upside down. Can you rescue a friendship when it’s drowning? Can you save a friend in trouble – if they don’t want to be saved?

Reviews of Driftwood

  1. Wow wow wow this book is …………………… I just can’t describe it when kit was being all mean to Paul i burst into tears but then when the funny parts were being read I burst out laughing ! In the middle of class ! My teacher told me off a little but when I told her who the book was by … She just gave me an impressed look and went bak to marking ! All. Of your books give me emotions that any other book wouldn’t ( in a fab one of a kind way !) and this is a request on another book if you do get to the pions of writing about honey … Maybe call it honey twist and it could be about a new girl at honeys school who isn’t who she says she is and it turning out spooky, funny and with more stuff about honeys dad ??????? I really hope you could take time to read this cathy and maybe use something like this … Thanks for taking some tim to read this

  2. I love this book! I really relate to Joey cuz she’s not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. And yes, i do try to jazz up the uniform a bit. Who minds if i ‘accidentally’ pop a hipster belt over my skirt? Long stripy socks, no prob! Strips of multicolored clip-on hair pieces? Well, it’s still hair!

    Love ya Cathy, Tatumn.

  4. I love your book, every time I read I cry because it is so powerful and very sad, I wish it was longer because I’ve read it countless times. I also wish there was a sequel, I haven’t read any of your other books but I for sure will now 🙂

  7. I wanna get this book. It sounds awesome but also sad. I hoe its not too sad as I’ve been bullied before so I feel really sorry for Paul. After I get this book and read it I’m gonna comment here and review it,but until then stay safe and have A Very Happy Easter. Bye!
