‘I feel like I’m losing my best mate . . .’
Hannah and Joey have been best friends forever – just the two of them. But when Joey’s new foster brother, Paul, turns up, everything changes. First Joey falls for Hannah’s brother, Kit. Then Paul complicates things – with some kittens, a chocolate bar and a stripy pink bicycle.
Hannah’s world is turning upside down. Can you rescue a friendship when it’s drowning? Can you save a friend in trouble – if they don’t want to be saved?

This buk made me want to cry, and it really shows you how serious bullying can be. I really like Hannah, and i totally love the story line about her bff falling in love with Hannah’s brother Kit (i love how Kit is resembled as KitKat’s!)Joey sounds so quirky, and i so want to meet Krusty!
A very good book about friendship
I’m half way through your book and i cant wait until i find out about what happens next.i love your books.
Driftwood was such a touching, heart-tugging book with unusual but original characters. I thought Paul’s story was heartbreaking and my heart went out to him immediately. I loved the way Hannah and Joey were so different but so alike at the same time. Great book, Cathy, like all your others! I’m your Number One Fan! Keep writing!
Driftwood is a classic book about friendship, boyfriends, wierdness, running away, and fostering. i like this book because it shows how hard life can be in a difficult family. paul is a strange boy who loves to draw people, especially kit. hannah is just caught up with paul.
