Driftwood

Can Hannah stop her friends from drifting apart?

‘I feel like I’m losing my best mate . . .’

Hannah and Joey have been best friends forever – just the two of them. But when Joey’s new foster brother, Paul, turns up, everything changes. First Joey falls for Hannah’s brother, Kit. Then Paul complicates things – with some kittens, a chocolate bar and a stripy pink bicycle.

Hannah’s world is turning upside down. Can you rescue a friendship when it’s drowning? Can you save a friend in trouble – if they don’t want to be saved?

Reviews of Driftwood

  1. I have just finished driftwood and it took me 2days to finish it.
This is the second book i have read from the author Cathy Cassidy.
I think this book is a fantastic book that i highly reccommend for children.
I love the way this author comes up with such great and ordinary characters.
I felt so sad for Paul how he gets bullied, it shows how bad bullying is.
I am looking forward to reading more Cathy Cassidy books.

  10. This is one of the best books I have ever read because I love sad books, and this one def’ made me cry! I got it the christmas after it came out but I didn’t think much of it until 2007 when I got your book Lucky Star for holiday, then I started getting into your books and have them all! I think Driftwood is the best out all CC books, don’t get me wrong though, they’re all good aswell, but like I said, Driftwood is my fave’. I love the bit where everyone finds out about Paul and they have to find him, that bit also made me cry. I love the little kitten that always follows Hannah around, it’s so cute! xx
