I have just finished Driftwood and I really like it! I am sure that who ever reads it, would soon realise the affects bullying has on the victims.
Your writing style is COOL, cathy cassidy. I really love it. The way you write and the way you express all the emotions. I can FEEL it. It felt so real i can almost touch it.
It is all from the point of view of a girl called Hannah whose brother Kit and best friend Joey hit it off. When Joey’s newly adopted brother Paul who is about 11 I think, turns up, things don’t go so well with Kit. Kit dislikes Paul’s drawing. Or rather, dislikes Pual drawing him!!! He thinks Paul is some gay stalker boy who needs to be sorted out. Which is nonsense and I hate homophobic people anyway! It’s a way of life, their chocie, not affecting others is it? Well, Kit and his friends bully Paul around and whilst Hannah tries to work out how to save him, her and Joey discover some stray kittens and Hannah finally persuades her mum to let her keep one! But one day Paul goes missing, and detectives find strange clothes on the beach, what happens, you will have to read it to find out…

this is my favorite book.
I havent read all of this book so far but i am doing a folder about it in our Libary lesson so i know i will not put it down all ofd your other books have been great so hopefully this one i will love as much as all of these.

I think Driftwood is one of Cathy’s best books as its got magic,trust,friendship and love in it.Its the story of a boy, three kittens and a girl. I oved it and I thought it was the best.
