‘I feel like I’m losing my best mate . . .’
Hannah and Joey have been best friends forever – just the two of them. But when Joey’s new foster brother, Paul, turns up, everything changes. First Joey falls for Hannah’s brother, Kit. Then Paul complicates things – with some kittens, a chocolate bar and a stripy pink bicycle.
Hannah’s world is turning upside down. Can you rescue a friendship when it’s drowning? Can you save a friend in trouble – if they don’t want to be saved?
This book is amazing, it’s impossible to put it down! I read the book for my school’s english homeowrk as i hadn’t read it before, but i don’t know why i didn’t read it before! Her best book so far!
This book is amazing! The ending is unexpected and also very sad. It was the first book i read by Cathy Cassidy and defiantly not the last.
Awww… I’ve just read it for the eighth time now. I’m addicted! My favourites are Gingersnaps (I made my friend read it!) and Scarlett (another friend only read the last bit LOL!) and Driftwood. I think I’m in love. I NEED TO GET ALL CATHY’S OTHER BOOKS!!!
Cathy I just read Driftwood and now I have read all of them except Ginger Snaps. Driftwood was amazing and sad and gripping at the same time!!! I love Krusty the kitten! My name is Anya and so I can’t wait to get Angel Snaps when it comes out!!! You are the best author ever keep writing!!!
Even though I’ve not finished it yet, I think this book is TOTALLY AMAZING. I borrowed it from the school library not knowing what its about, and within a day or so I just couldn’t put it down!!! Theres so many fun twists and turns that are just waiting for you to discover. I feel so sorry for Hannah, having her best friend stolen by her brother. I know how that feels.
Driftwood is amazing! Its great because if you have ever been bullied that book makes you believe that if you try hard enough you can always win!
Driftwood is an incredibly touching story and I read the whole book in one go because I needed to know what happens. It has a dramatic, slightly sad ending but then the last few pages are happy. I love the way everything builds up gradually through the story. It should have been obvious to me that Paul would go to Seal Island to try and find the spirit of his Mum, but it wasn’t. I felt like I was really there!
I love Driftwood! It will definitely help me if I go through tough times… I am currently reading Lucky Star but Driftwood will still remain the best of the best for me. Keep on writing fabulous books, Cathy!
This book is already translated into portugueses and 6th. June It will be sent to me!
Driftwood is awesome. I could read it over and over again. I never thought how serious bullying can be. I cry when Paul cries. Oh, what else could I say. It is awesomely fabulous.
