Driftwood

Can Hannah stop her friends from drifting apart?

‘I feel like I’m losing my best mate . . .’

Hannah and Joey have been best friends forever – just the two of them. But when Joey’s new foster brother, Paul, turns up, everything changes. First Joey falls for Hannah’s brother, Kit. Then Paul complicates things – with some kittens, a chocolate bar and a stripy pink bicycle.

Hannah’s world is turning upside down. Can you rescue a friendship when it’s drowning? Can you save a friend in trouble – if they don’t want to be saved?

Reviews of Driftwood

  1. Another amazing book from Cathy Cassidy!!! I have read them all apart from Lucky Star and Ginger Snaps and I soo can’t wait to read them too! And I have the Dreams and Doodles Daybook which is seriously cool too!! Driftwood is quite mysterious and that makes it a great book! You have gotta read it! 😉

  2. I loved Driftwood, when I read about what happens to Paul, I was in tears, the book is so, so descriptive that when I read it i felt Pauls pain for him. Im Sure everyone knows how it feels to be bullied but this book is so sad, but also one of my favorite books I have ever read.l If you havent read this book then read it now, so it can touch your heart too!

  4. Cathy,
i read “driftwood” when i was 12…it was…i don’t have the words to express it…it was too good to be true…when i was nearing the end of the book, paul had become my best friend…and when he went away i was weeping like mad…and then when he came back, i kept hugging my pillow(imaginary paul)
the book was marvellous…i doubt there will be other books like this one….ever… congratulations…

  5. OMG I loved this book i know that you get it a lot but i still can’t believe that it is even possible for people to do such things…. i know that it was fictional but still. especially round the bins that almost made me cry and i neva cry! i am literally begging you for a sequal. maybe with the story line of hannah and pauls romance and him still opening up and recovering from his trauma =]
well anyway thnx so much for writing such an amazing book (seriously consider the sequal i know that you will make one 14 year old happy =D)

  6. The book is so good! it mixes funny things about popular girls that are stupid, and things about horrible jocks that think their all that and make fun of people for being a little different. It makes me love Joey but also hate her at the same time because she falls in love with Kit, and makes Paul be even more made fun of, but then shes fun and not afraid to wear fun colorful clothes! It makes me want to try new and different things to show those horrible people that I DONT CARE!!!
