Driftwood

Can Hannah stop her friends from drifting apart?

‘I feel like I’m losing my best mate . . .’

Hannah and Joey have been best friends forever – just the two of them. But when Joey’s new foster brother, Paul, turns up, everything changes. First Joey falls for Hannah’s brother, Kit. Then Paul complicates things – with some kittens, a chocolate bar and a stripy pink bicycle.

Hannah’s world is turning upside down. Can you rescue a friendship when it’s drowning? Can you save a friend in trouble – if they don’t want to be saved?

  4. This is another one of Cassidy’s books that warms and breaks your heart and truly hits a nerve for those who have ever been subject to bullying. Magic, romantic and sometimes utterly infuriating this is Cathy at her best.

  5. Wow! this is one of your best books! My best friend thought it was weird but suddenly its all “Oh my gosh, i love this book!” (And i agree with her, its brilliant). If your wondering, shes the one who went on for about 20 lines about Ginger Snaps. (Aoife)

  6. The first book I ever read of Cathy Cassidy was a young childs one. I was 9 at the time but I didn’t bother putting it down for it was so good. So when my cousin lent me this book I didn’t think I was going to enjoy it as I thought it would be babyish. But I was wrong. So so wrong. It was amazing. I was caught up in it. It was like I was a character in that book. Just pure amazing. Well Done Cathy and I would definetly recommend it for other 11-13 year old girls!
