‘I feel like I’m losing my best mate . . .’
Hannah and Joey have been best friends forever – just the two of them. But when Joey’s new foster brother, Paul, turns up, everything changes. First Joey falls for Hannah’s brother, Kit. Then Paul complicates things – with some kittens, a chocolate bar and a stripy pink bicycle.
Hannah’s world is turning upside down. Can you rescue a friendship when it’s drowning? Can you save a friend in trouble – if they don’t want to be saved?
I loved it! I can really relate to Hannah because my best friend went out with my older brother and I hated it! I can relate to Paul because I was being bullied and I can relate to Joey because i’m trying to be unique.
i loved driftwood as it was about a boy being bulled and and he just had enough…
This is my favourite book in the world i wish there was boy like paul I LOVE YOU CATHY XXXXXXXX 🙂

I loved the way the book told you about all the different relationships between the different charactors and how they survived through all the complicated situations. The book was just utterly great, there is no more I can say but,
CAN’T WAIT FOR LUCKY STAR!!
driftwood is so good. i no what it’s like to be bullied though lukily
not as much as that.ALWAYS tell someone. i thought it would get worst
and thought i could handle it on my own but i couldn’t. they were told
to apolijise but they didn’t.i don’t care cause they stopped. NEVER keep
it to yourself tell a mate who can help.don’t be bullied for no reason
love who you are! kellyxxxxx
I’ve read all your books so far (they’re all excellent) but my favourite
has got to be driftwood. I love it!
This book is extremely heart-bending!!It nearly made me cry all i can say is…..FAB!!!
Cathy Cassidy really makes me think about myself. Her stories are full of exciting tales, once you pick the book up, you cant put it down!!
i thought this book was really good!! its really interesting!
I thought that this book gave a really powerful message – bullying isn’t
OK and being yourself doesn’t mean you can let people do that to you. It
gave me inspiration for my new book – it’s about Hayley, a girl who has
a wildchild big sister Liayla who has a terrible secret… Thanks Cathy,
your books rule!
