Driftwood

Can Hannah stop her friends from drifting apart?

‘I feel like I’m losing my best mate . . .’

Hannah and Joey have been best friends forever – just the two of them. But when Joey’s new foster brother, Paul, turns up, everything changes. First Joey falls for Hannah’s brother, Kit. Then Paul complicates things – with some kittens, a chocolate bar and a stripy pink bicycle.

Hannah’s world is turning upside down. Can you rescue a friendship when it’s drowning? Can you save a friend in trouble – if they don’t want to be saved?

  6. I have read Driftwood twice already and still don’t get bored of it. Cathy writes books that you just can’t get enough of but this one has to be my personal favourtie. I got a set of four for christmas and read them all within days. I got so excited about them i couldn’t put them down!
Thank you for such a wonderful book. It will be my favourite for eternity.

  7. This book was incredible – I actually felt like I was Hannah watching Paul being bullied. I felt so sorry for Paul – I nearly cried, and it isn’t even real life! Joey was just having a hard time – I own this book and read it once a month (squeezing it in between Cathy’s other books). It is AWESOME. If I were a book crictic, I would recomend this book to all children – girl or boy – from the ages 9+.

  8. Wow, wow and double wow!! This book, in my opinion, is the BEST one out of the whole series. (I haven’t read Lucky Star yet, but I am hoping to buy the book very soon!)
My favourite characters were Hannah and Joey. I liked how Joey was a rebel and had spunk. I liked how with Hannah she was a loyal and true friend from start to finish. Kit was very mean towards Paul, but learned his lesson in the end. Paul was a very nice but disturbed boy, but worked his way through his problems after a tough fight.
Cathy, a big thumbs up to you – you’ve really started something.
P.S: I’d love for Hannah & Paul to get together! I think alot of the readers would appreciate it if you did a sequel to Driftwood!

  9. I found this book on the floor of my school library and decided to take it out, just for a laugh. I read the first page on a friday afternoon and didn’t put it down until it was twelve pm and I was in trouble. The next day I got so into it I finished it before lunch! Thank you Cathy Cassidy for this great book!

I think every girl can relate to atleast on character in this book some way. It’s beautifully written, presented, and I think Cathy is beautiful herself. Keep up the good work Cathy!
