Driftwood

Can Hannah stop her friends from drifting apart?

‘I feel like I’m losing my best mate . . .’

Hannah and Joey have been best friends forever – just the two of them. But when Joey’s new foster brother, Paul, turns up, everything changes. First Joey falls for Hannah’s brother, Kit. Then Paul complicates things – with some kittens, a chocolate bar and a stripy pink bicycle.

Hannah’s world is turning upside down. Can you rescue a friendship when it’s drowning? Can you save a friend in trouble – if they don’t want to be saved?

Reviews of Driftwood

  1. I loved this book! I’ve read it four times and it never gets boring! I own three of your books and I’m getting more, definitely! I loved I think maybe you should make a sequel to this – it seems like there’s more of the story to tell. What happens when Paul moves back in? Anyway, I have loads more to say but I won’t cause I don’t think anyone will bother to read it. Keep writing your amazing books and good luck!

  4. Driftwood is my favourite book because it just seems so real and sad but I love it!! I am a fast reader so I was reading it all in one go. I got one of your books last Christmas and even on Christmas day with all the family there I went upstairs to a quiet room and started reading it!! The whole Christmas everyone was wondering what an earth I was doing in my bedroom!

  7. OH. MY. GOSH. Just finished reading this book and I will definitely not forget it! The book is so capturing that I found myself stepping into the book, into Hannah’s mind and feeling everything she feels. It was so real I could nearly see Paul’s big, brown eyes staring into mine. This book outdoes any Jacqueline Wilson book I’ve ever read by far, and I’ve read a lot of her books!

  8. Amazing I absolutely loved it,at first I wasn’t sure if I liked it but after about page20 I regretted not reading it before. This book was great but sad,we’ll not sad just… emotional when Kit turns on Paul I feel as if I could punch Kit, I thought that he had just lost a really cool, unique ,funny, caring soon to be friend! Carry on writing Cathy you’re AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
