Dizzy

Will her secret birthday wish come true?

‘I never sleep, the night before my birthday . . . it’s the only day of the year I hear from her . . .’

Dizzy’s mum left when she was small. But every year, on her birthday, something arrives in the post – a present or a card with her mum’s loopy writing on it. Dizzy has kept everything.

This year is different. Nothing comes in the post, but something amazing is about to arrive on Dizzy’s doorstep. Something that will whisk her away – and put Dizzy’s world in a spin.

  2. Dizzy is… like nothing I’ve read before. It’s romantic, exciting, funny, scary, confuzing and sad. I could not put it down. The characters were incredible and so complicated it was an added interest. Cathy Cassidy really got into the mind of Dizzy and wrote it in such a brilliant way that this became my favourite book ever – and believe me – I’ve read A LOT of books.

  5. Cathy I love your books I have read dizzy and indigo blue. I was going to buy all of the others today because I have saved up. because your so popular and such a good writer they have been sold out in 5 book shops! I love your books because they tackle all the big issues and real things unlike books that give you a fantasy picture of life.

  7. This book is absolutely brill! I couldn’t put it down. I had to keep reading and then before I knew it I was finished with the book. I went back to the bookstore and got Indigo Blue and had the same reaction. I kept reading it without putting it down ONCE! Then I went to the book store and got Scarlet and did the same thing all over again and so on with the other Cathy Cassidy books. I call it “The Cathy Cassidy Cycle.” With Cathy Cassidy books you can never go wrong. Dizzy was my favorite out of the bunch but in all, all the Cathy Cassidy books are GREAT!!! She is a talented writer. I can’t wait till I get my hands on Ginger Snaps!

  10. Dizzy is an awesome book. When 12 year old Dizzy is taken away from her father, Dizzy lives with her outcast mom. She befriends Finn, and has lots of adventures. This book is unique, and in some ways, amusing. This book makes you NEVER want to put it down!
