‘I never sleep, the night before my birthday . . . it’s the only day of the year I hear from her . . .’
Dizzy’s mum left when she was small. But every year, on her birthday, something arrives in the post – a present or a card with her mum’s loopy writing on it. Dizzy has kept everything.
This year is different. Nothing comes in the post, but something amazing is about to arrive on Dizzy’s doorstep. Something that will whisk her away – and put Dizzy’s world in a spin.
I absolutly love dizzy. Its the 1st book i’ve read but i’ve read the little ones with the previews in. I’m only half way through it but i have to share it with my little sister because its her’s so theres 2 bookmarks in it and even if i’m reading it she can get it if she wants coz its hers π

Wow. Dizzy is absolutely one ofmy favorite books! And I’ve read really many books. It’s one of those books that you can just imagine how everything looks like, just excactely what’s going on, and the way they talk, it’s like taken from normal kids (now these books, were they talk PERFECT and you just think “kids don’t talk like that at all!”) I love “Dizzy” as book, as person and everything. It’s the first Cathy Cassidy-book I read, and I’m absolutely going to read another one or two. I’d wish I’d meet a boy like Finn, he sound so sweet and understanding and almost perfect <3
Cathy Cassidy is a fantastic writer.
I find this book is just so amazing. Cathy really knows how some girls live! Plus I love how she always writes about people 11, 12 or sometimes 13 because I always like to know that somewhere in the world a girl this age could be going through this!! I also think that Finn is soooo nice!!
i love the book it was insparational funny and lovable. i loved finn’s charecter and dizzy’s name.your book was soo got with drama that it made me cry in some bits and im not an emotional person. i loved your book cathy cassidy please write more.
The story is so real, I can imagine it really happening, and it’s a bit like my own messed up life! So I can really know how Dizzy feels.
I love the way Finn and Dizzy knew each other when they were little, and are now friends again, in a special way (not like how Dizzy’s friends with the girls from her school).
It’s a gripping book from start to end. Many things you can learn about.
I love Finn, and I think Cathy Cassidy is my favourite author now. π
