‘I never sleep, the night before my birthday . . . it’s the only day of the year I hear from her . . .’
Dizzy’s mum left when she was small. But every year, on her birthday, something arrives in the post – a present or a card with her mum’s loopy writing on it. Dizzy has kept everything.
This year is different. Nothing comes in the post, but something amazing is about to arrive on Dizzy’s doorstep. Something that will whisk her away – and put Dizzy’s world in a spin.
Dizzy is the best book I have ever read. I live in the US and for my thirteenth birthday my godmother bought the book in the UK (she was there on summer holiday) and gave it to me. It’s so romantic, and so awesome… My favorite character was Finn. It was a very good book. I was kinda thinking how the book would end… and it ended ALMOST how I though it would. But that ‘end’ I was pretending was not properly the ‘very end’. And I loved how Finn and Dizzy kissed. Alone, at the beach… so romantic, so cute, so drawing inspiring. It was one of the best kissing scenes I’ve read about. I love ‘Dizzy’. Congrats Cathy Cassidy.
I loved this book it felt very realistic and is wroten very well. My friends intoduced me too this book because they said it was the best book ever and guess what it is! I am now going to write a review about it for my homework! You should read it even if you don’t really like reading – like me!
I loved Dizzy! That’s the only way of putting it really. It shows how people feel but in situations we never would have dreamed of! Reading Dizzy is like pulling back your living room curtains and seeing a three-headed elephant-it’s never what you would expect! It is a fabulous book written by the hands of a fully grown woman but through the eyes of a lost, yet lovely teenager. I wonderful, eye-opening read!
My all time favourite book right now just has to be Dizzy! The characters are so well-created I feel like they’re my personal friends. I was SO happy when I started Lucky Star and realised it was a sequel – I just love Mouse!! And Dizzy + Finn are so cute too… please write more about what happens next: maybe from Finn’s point of view? That’d be amazing
😀
Dizzy is my all time favourite book. This is because I love exciting drama within the story. Also because this book includes a variety of characters which are different from anyone else and have an amazing and interesting effect in the book.

hi i can’t believe how much i enjoy this book. it’s my favourite of all of Cathy’s books. i love the excitement, drama and how it seems real, not made up by some day dreamer. it really sounds as if it is really happening. you just can’t put it down. you go into your own little world of peace and happiness. i love it so much. xxxx
I raced through this with huge enjoyment.
It is a brilliant book, with spunk and charisma, and fun and easy to read.
I would recommend it for ages 11-13, as it conquers difficult subjects and topics, though sophisticated youngsters will love it too.
8/10
It’s a really good story, about real life situations! Never stop writing please!
