Angel Cake

Will Anya’s new beginning have a happy ending?

‘I’m excited about moving, but scared as well . . .’

Anya used to dream of moving to Britain to start a brand-new life. But as she sits in a school where nobody understands her, she dreams of Polish summer skies and the place where she once belonged.

Then Anya meets bad boy Dan. He’s no angel, but she’s sure there’s a sweeter side to him. And when things begin to fall apart, Anya realizes she’s not alone – how can Dan be such bad news when being with him feels like heaven?

  4. Hi CC,

I sat up late last night, FAR past my normal bedtime! Do you know why? It’s all because of this fantastic book, Angel Cake. I relate to Anya because when i was nine i moved to Switzerland where they only speak; French, German and Italien. Unlike Anya though, I settled in faster because I was in an international english/french speaking school. I made plenty of friends but nothung like Frankie, Kurt or Dan. I would like to have someone like Frankie or Kurt. I have someone who is very like Dan, but we are just friends. Nothing more than that. Like Dan and Anya are (sort of).

  7. I think that angel cake was brilliant. I can really see that happening to me and my friends where you sneak out of the house with your boyfriend! I love books that are realistic and believeable rather than boring books you know that will never come true. Not necessarily a book of good advice but just a normal good book that has advice in it x
