‘I’m excited about moving, but scared as well . . .’
Anya used to dream of moving to Britain to start a brand-new life. But as she sits in a school where nobody understands her, she dreams of Polish summer skies and the place where she once belonged.
Then Anya meets bad boy Dan. He’s no angel, but she’s sure there’s a sweeter side to him. And when things begin to fall apart, Anya realizes she’s not alone – how can Dan be such bad news when being with him feels like heaven?

Cathy Cassidy is one of my all time favourite authors next to Jacqueline Wilson and Enid Blyton. Angel Cake is a story which shows the true life emotions of a foreign new girl who meets someone who will change her life. Beautifully written story, and I would love to become a writer like Cathy.
I have read this book so many times, it is one of my fave books and I really enjoyed it.
Keep writing,
xxAriel
I absolutely love Angel Cake. It’s a heart-warming and slightly heartbroken story about a Polish girl called Anya who moves to England. She’s full of fantasies and ambitions of a beautiful house, but Liverpool, where she moves to, is a world away from her hopes and it shatters her dreams! She falls for a boy that seems like a heartless, rebellious boy, but turns out quite the opposite and he becomes heaven to be around for Anya. Will she ever have a delightful dream come true?
