Angel Cake

Will Anya’s new beginning have a happy ending?

‘I’m excited about moving, but scared as well . . .’

Anya used to dream of moving to Britain to start a brand-new life. But as she sits in a school where nobody understands her, she dreams of Polish summer skies and the place where she once belonged.

Then Anya meets bad boy Dan. He’s no angel, but she’s sure there’s a sweeter side to him. And when things begin to fall apart, Anya realizes she’s not alone – how can Dan be such bad news when being with him feels like heaven?

  7. Angel Cake is about a girl named Anya who used to dream of moving to Britain with her dad and now it is really happening she is moving to Britain to start a brand new life she imagined her dad’s house as one with roses round the doorway and a nice garden but it turned out to be an ugly little flat above a chippy. At school she just sat in the classroom where nobody understood her. Then Anya meets bad boy Dan her friend Frankie told her not to fall for Dan but she wasn’t listening to Frankie she couldn’t help herself and then Lily breaks her heart and kisses Dan right there in front of her eyes and then Dan says “it wasn’t what it looked she kissed me not the other way round” kind of thing and then Anya realized that he really didn’t mean and they made up again

  10. I read angel cake within 2 school afternoons! It was meant to be a book for the holidays but it got finished before the end of school! It was one of the best books ever! Once I got it in my hands I couldn’t get it out. It shows that life isn’t always fair. And sometimes I think I have it bad, but when I read this book I realised that I am very lucky and my life if actually VERY good!!! Thank you for this book!
