Summer has always dreamed of dancing, and when a place at ballet school comes up, she wants it so badly it hurts.
Middle school ends and the holidays begin, but unlike her sisters, Summer has no time for lazy days and sunny beach parties. The audition becomes her obsession, and things start spiralling out of control . . .
The more Summer tries to find perfection, the more lost she becomes. Will she realise – with the help of the boy who wants more than friendship – that dreams come in all shapes and sizes?
The best place to find Summer’s Dream at the moment is Waterstones in Royal Tunbridge Wells
My friend got me this book, for my birthday, because I am just like her -with my dancing. I love all of these books, and most of all this one because Cathy uses real life situations in her books. You rock Cathy! 🙂
I didn’t want it to end!!!
I love Summer!!!
Brilliant!!!
I love this book! I’m sort of like a mish-mash of all the different sisters which is great because it means I can relate to all of them easily. Also I can imagine i’m there with them, put myself in their shoes. I have never told anyone this but when I read “Summer’s Dream” I actually cried! I love ballet too and also am waiting for the chance to go en pointe! I’m like Skye because I get worried and worked up about things and I have to just take a step back to see that I’m just kicking up a cloud of dust for no reason, and the dust is covering me from what’s really going on. But unfortunately for me I have a short fuse just like Honey. I’m in love with animals like Coco and I’m a bit of a misfit like Cherry. But she has Shay and at the moment I find boys a bit scary. If you see this maybe include the name Trinity or Ali in your later books! You’re my favorite author, Cathy and keep on writing!
My friend bought this book for me # I LOVE IT !!!!! I love her story the most because like every book Cathy has wrote, it has such a good example of what can happen to you in reality. I know all of Cathy’s has this “feature” but this one, is the best. I have read this six times now, and never get bored of it! I am amazed of how many books I have read, and I can never escape to my own worlds, and with this one I can. I love the feeling how I feel like I am the character, or a person watching the whole thing. Cathy has sooooooo much talent, and I admire her so much for it. When I’m older, I want to be a Prima Ballerina. I love feeling how it feels [when I’m reading the book] to have an ambition just like mine and having it kind of come true. I am a mixture of all the sisters [ even Honey] so that is why I love these books so much because I feel like I can understand them. YOU ROCK CATHY !!!!!
I loved summers dream because summer is different to the rest of the sisters as she has an eating disorder and it gives information to people who do have anorexia and feel like they have no one to turn to, sum advice. I also liked how Summer is so determined to be a dancer and no one can turn her down, I think Alfie was the 2nd best character in this book (1st summer obviously) because he really pushed summer and helped her through anorexia and wouldn’t leave her side xx
Loved summers dream it relates to me so much as i share her love for ballet it was so grasping i finished it within a day! Thankyou Cathy for writing such great books:-)

Summers dream is by FAR my favourite! I am SO like summer! This book is awesome, keep writing cathy!
I feel like I could relate to summer. I could understand where she was coming from. I enjoyed this book because it didn’t completely sugar coat things like some other books may. I liked how Alfie was there for her when she thought everyone was out to get her when really they just couldn’t see what she was doing in order to get her ballet perfect. I really enjoyed it.! X
I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE Summer’s Dream. It’s so good!
