Summer’s Dream

SUMMER is quiet, confident, pretty, popular and VERY serious about dance . . .

Summer has always dreamed of dancing, and when a place at ballet school comes up, she wants it so badly it hurts.

Middle school ends and the holidays begin, but unlike her sisters, Summer has no time for lazy days and sunny beach parties. The audition becomes her obsession, and things start spiralling out of control . . .

The more Summer tries to find perfection, the more lost she becomes. Will she realise – with the help of the boy who wants more than friendship – that dreams come in all shapes and sizes?

Reviews of Summer’s Dream

  1. I personally think there should be a story where some of the Chocolate Box Girls have children when they are older and I also think Charlotte Tanberry should have another child too. If there was a strory about Honey Tanberry having depression, Iit would be sad but also great for her to raise awareness that depression affects young people as well as just older people.

  2. This book was absolutely incredible! I love to dance especially ballet and ice skating so I think this book kinda taught me a lesson on how to be myself and to not to push myself. But I suppose Summer should have been more careful..

  9. I love this book and I love the way I can relate to it in so many different ways.
And I love how this book helps me understand that it is not good to bottle things up and to take the mask off sometimes is ok and people won’t dislike you for it.
    Thank you Cathy Cassidy. x.
