SUMMER is quiet, confident, pretty, popular and VERY serious about dance . . .
Summer has always dreamed of dancing, and when a place at ballet school comes up, she wants it so badly it hurts.
Middle school ends and the holidays begin, but unlike her sisters, Summer has no time for lazy days and sunny beach parties. The audition becomes her obsession, and things start spiralling out of control . . .
The more Summer tries to find perfection, the more lost she becomes. Will she realise – with the help of the boy who wants more than friendship – that dreams come in all shapes and sizes?

I read it and couldn’t stop! It was absolutely amazing! I couldn’t put it down. I loved the ending and can’t wait for the rest of the series!!!

Hi im Rachel and I absolutely loved the book. I do ballet too but I dont think im as comitted as Summer is for I would never starve myself for an audition. I think this is a really good book for people who think that their fat or dont like the way they look because it shows you what starving and not eating properly can do. Your my favourite author of all time and even though I know you probably get that alot I really do mean it. When I grow up I want to be an author for I love writing aswell.
I cant wait for the next book.

I loved cherry crush and marshmallow Skye, and couldn’t wait for summer’s dream to come out. got my hands on the book as soon as it came out and couldn’t put the book down. it was amazing and gripping although i prefer Skye’s character and story but LOVE summer’s dream and can’t wait for the next book!
I am so pleased that the website is up and running! I loved Cherry Crush and Marshmallow Skye-and I can’t wait to get Summer’s Dream. I am re reading them both, in the hopes my mum will let me buy it today.
Can’t wait until Coco Carael comes out because Coco is my favourite character.

I have read the reviews for Summer’s Dream (though I don’t know why I bothered, actually, because I’ve read both Cherry Crush and Marshmallow Skye and loved them both) and I’ve ordered my copy of it!! I can’t wait for it to arrive, as I’ve already read some sections of it, thank you, Cathy, for writing another book in the Chocolate Box Series. I can’t wait for the books to come!! xx
Beautiful – it is SO inspirational because I want to be a dancer too. I wish I could swap life’s with Summer. Her life doesn’t sound good but it sounds like an awesome experience.
I loved it! It was amazing. I’ve waited almost a year for it to come out. It’s brilliant how you show us the characters first from there point view. For example you wrote cherry crush. Then cherry was in the next to books but you got to see her character from another point of view! I love that you chose anorexia as summers trouble because you wrote about what hOw summer saw the eating disorder. It made me understand and not judge people with eating disorders. It’s a lovely structure for the story and it was really nice to see Alfie Anderson in the perspective of Skye then Summer. Terrific.
I can’t wait to read Summer’s dream and marshmallow Skye(If my mum lets me get them) I loved cherry crush and the Daizy Star series and can’t wait to get the next Daizy Star Book!!!:)
