Summer has always dreamed of dancing, and when a place at ballet school comes up, she wants it so badly it hurts.
Middle school ends and the holidays begin, but unlike her sisters, Summer has no time for lazy days and sunny beach parties. The audition becomes her obsession, and things start spiralling out of control . . .

I think got this book is one of the most realistic books and powerful books I have ever read. I got it about 6 months ago. As I don’t dance, I wasn’t sure about it, but its brilliant, and as I have s friend who had what summer has, it helped me to realise what summer was going through.
I am SO similar to Summer. I to love ballet, and dream of getting on pointe. This is my favourite book ever!
I couldn’t put it down! I am going to read COCO CARAMEL now and I can’t wait until Honey’s book comes out!

its so sad but I love the way cathy describes alfies love for summer and skye and summer being so a like im in love with your books cathy write more an idear could be there mum you know charlotte you could write about her story and want and cant wait to get honeys story im in love with you cathy
I read this book & it was sooooo sad. I think I can relate to how summer felt. I think the ending tied up nicely in some places but there were loose ends still un answered
I love this book ,this is one of the only books I have ever read which I can relate to and i would recomend cathys books to older Jacqueline Wilson fans . Never stop writing books !

Amazing book. I read bittersweet and had to read this. Also read marshmallow Skye and now reading coco caramel. I’m not sure wether to send my book to cathy to be signed in case I don’t get it back. Please tell me if I will get it back!
