SUMMER is quiet, confident, pretty, popular and VERY serious about dance . . .
Summer has always dreamed of dancing, and when a place at ballet school comes up, she wants it so badly it hurts.
Middle school ends and the holidays begin, but unlike her sisters, Summer has no time for lazy days and sunny beach parties. The audition becomes her obsession, and things start spiralling out of control . . .
The more Summer tries to find perfection, the more lost she becomes. Will she realise – with the help of the boy who wants more than friendship – that dreams come in all shapes and sizes?

I think this book was a deep read and was something I really got into. I really enjoyed the book and learnt a really big lesson that follow your dream but never let it take over your whole life. loved this book and will recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good and deep read!.
One of the best books ever. Really enjoyable. It really opens your eyes. Very sad…… But a good read. 10 out of 10!!!!!!
this is a great book but got a bit shivery near the end
summer’s dream was amazing! it was such a real book that i felt i was part of it. i was up all night reading it!! could not put it down!! skye is deffinetly my fave character and i can’t wait to read marshmallow skye. thx 4 the great read cathy! i’ll try to get hold of some of yur other books. 🙂
I walked into my all-time favourite bookshop, and suddenly saw ‘Summer’s Dream’ by Cathy Cassidy. It was exactly what I was looking for and bought the book straight away.
By the time I read the first page I was in another world and really believing what Summer was saying! Anyone who is looking for a book to read; get ‘Summer’s Dream’! It is one of the best stories I have ever read. And what’s more, I can not wait for the next book in the Chocolate Box Girls series; ‘Coco Caramel’!

Omg I love this book. It’s so amazing and plus my names Skye people won’t believe this but I’m a twin too to my amazing sister April. I love this book so much as I am a dancer a VERY serious dancer but like summers dream as its s relatable something happened to stop me reaching my dreams. I read this book in a day it’s amazing seriously Cathy can’t wait for Coco Carmel. xx
