Summer’s Dream

SUMMER is quiet, confident, pretty, popular and VERY serious about dance . . .

Summer has always dreamed of dancing, and when a place at ballet school comes up, she wants it so badly it hurts.

Middle school ends and the holidays begin, but unlike her sisters, Summer has no time for lazy days and sunny beach parties. The audition becomes her obsession, and things start spiralling out of control . . .

The more Summer tries to find perfection, the more lost she becomes. Will she realise – with the help of the boy who wants more than friendship – that dreams come in all shapes and sizes?

  2. I <3 your books Cathy summers dream was so good and realistic just like all your books. Summers dream is the best book in the chocolate box girls. I have read all the books ( not in order ) but in summers dream u really feel summers passion for dance. U know what's going to happen at the end yet it still surprises u.

Over all a great book and a must read.

  5. Hi Cathy! I’ve already made a review but since that review I’ve read lots of other Cathy Cassidy books – and I love to tell you how much of a fantastic writer you are! The last time I made a review I had read Driftwood, Summers Dream, Cherry Crush and Marshmallow Skye. All of those books were so, so, so good! But since then, I’ve read Scarlett, Indigo Blue, Sunday Girl, Angle Cake, Lucky Star and Love, Peace and Chocolate! Those books are the best of the best – every single one of the books I’ve read of yours are like being told your able to fly! And I’m getting Dizzy and Ginger Snaps for Christmas too – I can’t wait, really! I just want to read and read and read . . . all of your books, of cause! The Chocolate Box Girls are still my favourite – Summers Dream, actually! Please never stop writing, Cathy! Your books are gold, see ya!

  9. Hi, my name is Gillian. I was at one of your book signings, I still cannot believe I got to meet a famous writer. I am reading Cherry Chrush, Dizzy and Summers Dream and I have read Marshmallow Skye. Summers Dream was in my school library and I picked it up, my friend said she was going to get me the book for my birthday but I just couldn’t stop reading. I want to be Coco on the cover of Coco Caramel.
I love you and your books.
