Summer’s Dream

SUMMER is quiet, confident, pretty, popular and VERY serious about dance . . .

Summer has always dreamed of dancing, and when a place at ballet school comes up, she wants it so badly it hurts.

Middle school ends and the holidays begin, but unlike her sisters, Summer has no time for lazy days and sunny beach parties. The audition becomes her obsession, and things start spiralling out of control . . .

The more Summer tries to find perfection, the more lost she becomes. Will she realise – with the help of the boy who wants more than friendship – that dreams come in all shapes and sizes?

  2. Hey Cathy! I can’t wait to read Coco Caramel cos there isn’t much of her so far and Coco doesn’t have a problem But I think you’ll write something similiar to this:
(Simple text) The house is going mad. Mum is baking a strawberry cake, Cherry and Honey are argueing; Skye and Summer are explaining to some B&B guests who is who and Paddy is in the chocolate workshop with Shay. Nobody takes much notice of me. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t. Great! Why don’t we just try to ruin the mood and make me work? Hmmm?
So thats what I think. And I wrote a profile for Coco.
Coco is never noticed. Mainly because her mum is too busy with their hotel and her out-of-control sister. It’s only a bit but it’ll do.

  4. Hey! I used to read your books when I was a few years younger but now I am more into classics and philosophy (total nerd sorry).
I do however revisit your books because I find them reassuring and I almost always can relate to them. I loved summers dream so much, I couldn’t put it down.It is by far my favourite chocolate box book! I can relate to summer because I am quite a perfectionist and my family often complain about how I am always putting myself down. I have problems with food and my weight and it is hell but this book has helped me get help. I am very grateful for this and the fact that the book has raised awareness of eating disorders.
    Thanks cathy x
