Shay, the boy with the cool blond fringe and the blue guitar, the boy who smells of darkness and the ocean, is Cherry’s boyfriend. But it wasn’t always this way. Once, he was in love with Honey, Cherry’s oldest step-sister. Since their break-up, bitterness has twisted every word she’s said to him.
Now Honey needs his help. Should Shay reach out to her – or is it safer to steer clear?
Dip into the delicious world of the Chocolate Box Girls, as for the first ever time Shay gets the chance to tell his own story. And don’t miss the rest of the Chocolate Box Girls series: Cherry Crush, Marshmallow Skye and Summer’s Dream.

I have read Marshmellow Skye, Cherry Crush and now Summers Dream they all took me about 4-5 hours to read and I love them so much Cathy Cassidy has changed me I love reading about the stuff they get up to and I’ve read every other one of Cathy Cassidy books except this one, I can’t wait to get it Im so excited.
PLEASE could you write more books in the Chocolate Box series? I absolutely LOVED Coco Caramel and Cherry Crush was also amazing!
Ive only just started to read your books and thy are amazing! I cant stop reading them! Please keep writing them!
This is a brilliant, short, sweet story. It was definately one of the best reads I’d had in a while since Summer’s Dream came out! And the fact it was free back in March, I think, was just an added bonus! (It really is ridiculously cheap, I lost my copy and tried to order a new one, but the only available new option was a fifty pack for a fiver!)
All in all, a heart-warming, beautiful book, though beware, it is a very short story.
Cathy Cassidy’s books are really the only books I enjoy, aside from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. for my birthday, I have asked for Scarlett, Indigo Blue, Ginger Snaps and Lucky star, because I just read the extracts and they are so interesting. I have also read all the chocolate box girls books and my favourite is Coco Caramel. I really like all of them though. Usually I finish the books within 2 days of starting them. They are wicked awesome!
