Firstly I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who voted for me to win The Queen of Teen award! The ceremony was last Friday and to my shock and delight I WON!!! I was so thrilled and surprised, and I am very grateful to everyone who voted for me.
I have a gorgeous crown now that I will wear as I write my new books, and since I now have new powers as a Queen I think my first decree with be to speak to David Cameron to get the NHS to hand out FREE CHOCOLATE to everyone and to ask him to put daydreaming on the curriculum for schools!! I wonder if he will…
I’m having such an amazing week – my new book in The Chocolate Box series CHERRY CRUSH is out in the shops now!! And I’m on tour meeting readers in schools, bookshops and libraries across the country! Check out my events page to see if I’m doing a signing in your area… it would be great to meet you!
And I’m also very excited about meeting the Dream Team this weekend. We’re having a special party at Puffin Towers so the Dream Team can all meet me and eachother and we have lots of fun planned for them! The Dream Team are 9 top CC superfans who let other readers know about my books – I can’t wait to see them all!
To tell you truly I didn’t know about you at that time and I voted for Jacqueline Wilson! But it is so weird that you used to work for Jacky magazine cause you to are some of my fave authors! I can relate to all your books and now I can’t choose between you and Jacky, you both deserve to win!! I feel so happy for you!!!!

You are awesome Cathy. I knew you would do it. Hey; my whole class had to do a presentation on our favorite authers and I chose you. It was the best in the class and all my friends read your books now and my teacher too! You are amazing Cathy Cassidy, I knew you would get the title of queen Of Teen.
