Phew… just finished judging the entries for the fabby Friends Writing Competition. Your poems and stories were AMAZING! There’s a brand new writing comp on the YOU section of the website now, just scroll down to the WRITER’S WORKSHOP page and check it out… and read the cool winning entries for the FRIENDS COMP too! Who knows, maybe you’re a winner, a runner-up, or get a mention in the Highly Commended list?
The theme for the new writing comp is SONG TITLES… I’ve used these as inspiration for some of my books, so lets see if music can inspire you too! Check out the WRITER’S WORKSHOP for details of how to enter…

I’m still judging the MY BEST FRIEND ROCKS comp, so be patient – again, there were hundreds of fantatstic entries, and I want to make sure I have looked at all of them carefully, so please be patient – the winners will be announced as soon as we know.

Hi Selina & Maddy! Yes, Selina, there are prizes for the winners and runners up… small but cool prizes designed to encourage you with your writing! The winning entries will be published on the website, too. Maddy, the comp is open to readers around the world – no matter where you live, you can still enter. Go for it!!!

I entered the Friends Writing competition. I didn’t win, but my sister Katie won for the poetry! She wrote ‘and she’s leaving’. I’m so proud of her! I got in the highly commended list, though. I wanted to tell you that I think that your competitions are great ideas! You’re awesome! Joules XOXOXOX
