Sooo excited about your new book I cannot contain myself. I adored Cherry Crush and stayed up the whole night (and about 4 hours in the morning) to finish it. This new name is fresh and inspiring, and the marshmallow part makes me think that there’s an underlining meaning… maybe Skye or one of the other Chocolate Box sisters is in a sticky situation. Wow, Cathy! Marshmellow Skye…the name sounds so dreamy it already has me dreaming! I really dont like the new book covedrs which are on the homepage of the website. Half the fun of a book is that you imagine charecters different to everyone else, now your force feeding it to us.

Also in the book Cherry Crush has ‘ink black’ hair? In thew photo its dyed blonde/brown?! And the ’’scarlett’’ person looks about 20? And Anya looks depressed?!

Will you still be able to buy the much bhetter, old version covers on your new books (E.g marshmallow skye) cause i want the set to look similar as my cherry crush book has the amazing old style pattern. Sorry for the rant but it just really upset me.

It took some getting used to for me too, but I do like the covers now, even though not all of them are quite as I imagine the characters. I am sorry you dislike them so much… but sadly there’s not a lot I can do. I hope you get used to them! xxx

Hey, Cathy. Just wanted to say that I luv the new book name, but it kind of suprised me about the new book covers. I have all your previous books, and all the covers are drawn and arty, but the new ones arn’t. It expressed your creativity, and thats one of the things I loved about your books. I am disappointed that you felt the need to change the covers, as the originals were fine, and also the models on the covers look too old. The majority of your characters were only pre-teens. It removes the fun of imagining the characters and I’m afaraid that your readers won’t be able to relate to the characters as they used to.

I hope this doesn’t offend you as you are a brilliant writer and my biggest insperation for writing. I don’t think that this should discourage you at the least, but I feel that the new book covers were unnecessary.

I would like to hear your thoughts on my comment. ^_

I have been reading through all these comments, and i have realised i am not alone in not liking the new book covers. I have read your comment in reply to another persons comment, and i understand it wasn’t you decision BUT can you please keep all your future newly released hardback book covers the same as the BRILLIANT old style covers, because loads of people are unhappy about the book covers, and that would be a lovely/amazing compromise to you was to do that.

Wow i really can’t wait until this comes out as I have read cherry crush and I really enjoyed it. As I thought it is a must have book I told my school about it (we were allowed another book order). Our teacher decided we were allowed to have it and all the class wanted to read it. As their was soooo many who wanted to read it the people that already had it brought it in for some of the people to read. (That is also including me). But still we had to make a list of who was going to read it first. I was amazing how many people wanted to read it after one person had read it and said how good it wss. You are now our schools fav author as well as a boy one that the boys chose. You should keep reading and we will definitaly read your books, I personally have them all. I can’t wait to read this book !!!!
