I like the book ‘Sundae Girl’ very much its not based on a girls only book at all (even though it has a girly title and cover)! It shows that there are people out there like that and you just have to go ahead and support them. Great book by a great author!

The cover of the book is a bit girly but inside its just like Narnia its a total new world. Yeah so I think that boys should read wonderful books by a wonderful author, Cathy Cassidy.

I like CC books, my girlfriend reads them and she lent me Scarlet – I thought the book would be girly, but I liked it alot. I’m reading Driftwood now, also excellent. The covers aren’t my thing but the stores are!

I think your books are really good and so addictive, I read them in less than a day, ALWAYS . They are really good so keep writing more! Yeh sure, so boys read your books? It shouldn’t really matter! They are really good stories about real situtuations. Everyone should read them, boy or girl!

Boys read books to, there are book for girls, books for boys and books that suite both girls and boys! There is books out there and they all suite different people depending on there gender, taste and age!

I am reading ‘sundae girl’. It is brilliant and really cool. I can’t wait to finish it but it is also sooooo good that I want it to last forever! I will just have to borrow ‘love, peace and chocolate’ from my friend.

Your books are great! If girls only read them it would spoil all the fun! I bet even aliens would read them cause there so great!These books are for girls AND boys. They can touch everyone in some way.Boys should read them and even cry if they feel like it. You shouldnt care what people think. CATHY U ROCK DNT EVER STOP WRITING !!!

I love your books! But people are so sterotypical about boys and girls. Are boys really meant to be hooked on sports and have disgusting habbits? Are girls meant to be attached to pink and make-up. I think boys should be able to read all the books they want without every going ‘ohh look who’s a little girl ooo wow your a dork your reading a book!’ I’m 12 and i know kids can be so mean! I think boys should be able to read whatever! And the same with girls!

I wish my brothers would read books, the only thing they read are magazines. They’re both adults now and not once have I ever seen them read a proper book, they read when they were little but they never finished books and they never read a lot anyway.

Hey Cathy! Personally, when i fisrt saw your book, i thought it would be all fairys and rainbows (scarlett) but now im hooked! I think its great that some guys are getting into them as well.

I agree with Ryan though. I think you should try writting from a boys perspective… or even both in one book. Like switch after one chapter.

I think that boys should be able to read these books, too, as it’s not particularly directed at either girls or boys, although girls generally do seem to read it more. Besides, it’s better for them than reading all those violent books and stuff…lol

i think that its a cool idea for boys to read to and i think its mean for people to think your books are just for girls anyway i think people are afraid of wat others might think when they want to do something they like but are scared! and boys who do read your books and enjoy have got guts compared to those who are just scared!

Why are boys so embaressed to read books there is nothing to be afraid of books help with your reading and at my school boys have to read books and we enjoy them for the boys who are not afraid to read well done! i am really proud of you cause then you rock!

Although most of your books are from a girls perspective I think it’s fine for boys to read your books. In fact I think that boys that read your books are really cool because they aren’t afraid to admit that they like books aimed at girls. All the boys in my class would be scared they would get laughed at. Also Lucky Star is from a boy’s perspective and I can see that some boys would have a problem with the shiny cover but you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover (literally) Cathy’s books ROCK !
